Brand identity design for Narrative Threads Vintage, a conceptual boutique dedicated to offering curated vintage clothing that resonates with Gen Z and Millennials. The brand’s mission is to uphold sustainability by curating and preserving vintage apparel while aligning with modern ethical values. Narrative Threads donates 10% of proceeds from campaign collection releases to nonprofits like Remake, a global advocacy organization that fights for fair pay and climate justice within the clothing industry.
Recognizing today’s shift toward ethical consumption, it was important to blend the appeal of vintage clothing with the values of conscious living when developing a brand strategy. This strategy aimed to tap into the demographic’s taste in fashion while authentically engaging with a socially aware audience.
Logo Suite: The logo suite shows a blend of serif and sans-serif typefaces, displaying a timeless elegance intertwined with sleek modernism.
Color Palette & Usage Examples: When crafting the color palette, I applied a similar method, blending deep, earthy and jewel tones with striking colors to achieve contrasting combinations.
Art Direction: The brand's marketing collateral uses stylized, monochrome model imagery enhanced with a textured grain effect. The models portray casual relatability, inviting the audience to envision themselves effortlessly wearing the apparel. Secondary and accent colors are used to hook the audience's interest and engagement.
Social: In social media posts, full-color imagery is used to showcase the apparel, tease upcoming collection drops, and announce pop-up events.

When I was young, my family and I would take evening strolls after dinner, gazing up at the moon as it seemed to follow us in every direction. My brother would enthusiastically identify visible planets and stars. Those moments sparked a vivid imagination, one that was rooted in the cosmos.
I was fascinated and terrified at the same time by our insignificance in the vastness of space. As a response, I imaginatively designed my own planet system as a fun way to experiment with inspiration, curiosity and color.
It wasn't until many years later that I translated these musings onto paper. Here are some of them.
